An office to be known as "Deputy Township Clerk of the Township of Hamilton, in the County of Atlantic and State of New Jersey," is hereby created.
The duties of said Deputy Township Clerk shall be the same as are required to be performed by the Township Clerk, and in the absence or disability of the Township Clerk, said Deputy Township Clerk is hereby authorized and empowered to do and perform all acts and duties required to be performed by the Township Clerk as fully and completely and with the same effect as the Township Clerk is empowered to do.
The term of office of said Deputy Township Clerk shall be one year from January 1 of the year of his appointment.
The salary of said Deputy Township Clerk is to be paid in equal semimonthly payments.[1]
