Pursuant to the provisions contained in N.J.S.A. 40A:9-141, the Township Committee of the Township of Hamilton, County of Atlantic, State of New Jersey, does hereby alter the existing Office of Township Tax Collector to provide that said position shall be filled by the appointment of an individual by the Township Committee.
The Office of Tax Collector of the Township of Hamilton is hereby designated an appointed office, and the Tax Collector shall be appointed by the Township Committee. Said office shall be filled by the appointment of one person.
The term of office of the Tax Collector of the Township of Hamilton shall be for four years, beginning the first day of January next following his appointment. A vacancy due to other than the expiration of the term shall be filled by appointment for the unexpired term.
The salary of the Tax Collector of the Township of Hamilton shall be established by ordinance.[1]

Any person appointed to the Office of Tax Collector of the Township of Hamilton shall possess, prior to assuming the duties of office, all qualifications established by the laws of the State of New Jersey and by any regulations adopted pursuant thereto.
The duties of the Tax Collector of the Township of Hamilton shall be those established by the laws of the State of New Jersey and any regulations adopted pursuant thereto.
The Tax Collector shall be appointed, other than for an unexpired term, at least 30 days prior to the commencement of his term of office.

A. 
Office created. An office to be known as "Deputy Tax Collector of the Township of Hamilton in the County of Atlantic and State of New Jersey" is hereby created.
B. 
Duties. The Deputy Tax Collector shall perform such duties and functions as are necessary to assist the Tax Collector of the Township of Hamilton, which shall include but not be limited to all duties of the Tax Collector under established statutes, rules and regulations of the State of New Jersey and/or by ordinance of the Township of Hamilton, County of Atlantic, State of New Jersey.
C. 
Qualifications. Any person appointed to the Office of Deputy Tax Collector shall be a certified Tax Collector of the State of New Jersey.
D. 
Term of office. The Deputy Tax Collector shall hold office in accordance with Chapter 66, Personnel.
E. 
Salary. The salary of the office of Deputy Tax Collector shall be established by ordinance.[1]
