[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Committee of the Township of Independence 2-10-1975

There is hereby created a public body corporate and politic to be known
as the "Independence Municipal Utilities Authority." The Authority is hereby
created pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Utilities Authorities
Law (N.J.S.A. 40:14B-1 et seq.). Pursuant to said law, the Authority shall
consist of five members who shall be appointed by resolution of the Township
Committee and shall constitute a municipal authority provided for in said
law.
A copy of this chapter, duly certified by the Township Clerk, shall
forthwith upon final adoption be filed by the Township Clerk in the office
of the Secretary of State of the State of New Jersey pursuant to the provisions
of the Municipal Utilities Authorities Law.
