This article is for the purpose of fixing license fees and regulating the sale of alcoholic beverages in the Township of Independence, County of Warren, in accordance with provisions of an Act of the Legislature entitled "An Act Concerning Alcoholic Beverages," P.L. 1933, c. 436, as amended and supplemented, and in accordance with the rules and regulations promulgated or to be promulgated by the State Commissioner of Alcoholic Beverage Control applicable hereto, and in accordance with the rules and regulations existing herein or hereafter adopted by competent municipal authority not inconsistent with said Act or said rules and regulations of said State Commissioner.
It shall be unlawful to sell or distribute alcoholic beverages otherwise than as provided in this article or said Act.
The Township Committee of the Township of Independence, County of Warren, being the governing body of said municipality, shall constitute the authority for the administration of the issuance of licenses hereunder.

A. 
The annual fee for the plenary retail consumption and plenary retail distribution licenses shall be $1,000.[1]

B. 
The annual fee for the club license shall be $75.[2]

C. 
The revised fee schedule as set forth in Subsection A shall be effective for all license fees as may become due for the year commencing July 1, 1994, and thereafter as herein set forth.

This section is enacted pursuant to N.J.S.A. 33:1-1 et seq.

No licensee shall sell, serve, or deliver, or allow, permit or suffer the sale, service or delivery of alcoholic beverages, nor shall any licensee allow or permit alcoholic beverages to be possessed or consumed on the licensed premises on December 25, when it is a weekday, between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.; on January 1, when it is a weekday, between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.; on other weekdays between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.; and on Sundays, between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.
