[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Committee of the Township of Mansfield 8-18-1988 by Ord. No. 1988-18. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The Official Seal of the Township of Mansfield shall be an imprint of the Keeler Oak, with the words "TOWNSHIP OF MANSFIELD" extending in a semicircular manner across the ends of the branches and over the top of said tree, and beneath the tree the year 1688.
The Municipal Clerk shall be the custodian of the Official Seal of this Township.
A. 
When authorized by resolution of the Township Committee, or as otherwise required by general law, the Clerk shall affix the Official Seal to proper documents to which the Township is a party and attest the execution thereof and the signature of the Mayor or other proper official thereon.
B. 
The Official Seal may also be imprinted on Township stationery and applied or painted to Township vehicles, buildings and signs marking the Township's boundaries.
C. 
Any unauthorized use of the Official Seal of this Township is expressly prohibited, and such unauthorized use shall be deemed disorderly conduct and shall subject the violator to those penalties set forth in Chapter 1, § 1-15, of this Code.
