[HISTORY: Adopted by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Maywood 3-26-85 as Ord. No. 7-85. Amendments noted where applicable.]
Subject to the approval of the Director of the Division of Local Government Services in the Department of Community Affairs, where required, the Borough of Maywood is hereby authorized to enter into joint or cooperative purchasing and interlocal services agreements with the State of New Jersey, the County of Bergen, the counties adjoining Bergen County and any municipality or other public contracting unit within the County of Bergen or adjoining counties for the purchase of work, materials and supplies or the providing of services.
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute and the Borough Clerk to attest, on behalf of the Borough of Maywood, all such contracts with the aforesaid public contracting units as may be authorized and approved by resolution of the Mayor and Council.
Any such resolution shall set forth the categories of work, materials and supplies to be purchased or the services to be provided, the manner of advertising for bids and of awarding of contracts, the method of payment by each participating contracting unit, the estimated cost of such purchases or services, the duration of the contract and such other matters required by law or deemed appropriate by the Mayor and Council.
Nothing herein contained shall require the Borough of Maywood to make any purchase or enter into any obligation or to prevent it from awarding contracts or purchases on its own behalf.
All joint or cooperative purchasing or interlocal services agreements heretofore authorized by the Mayor and Council by ordinance or resolution are hereby ratified and confirmed. Specifically, but not by way of limitation, agreements with the following contracting units for the following purposes are hereby authorized and confirmed, and the Mayor and Council may, by resolution, renew, extend, amend or otherwise modify all such contracts:
