Certificates of occupancy — See Ch. 158.

A. 
Any commercial, business or residential unit serviced by a private well shall, prior to applying for a certificate of occupancy, certificate of continued occupancy or certificate of leased occupancy, have an independent state-approved laboratory collect and test for potability a sample of the water from said well. A written copy of the laboratory report shall be submitted to the Code Enforcement Officer or Building Inspector or any other municipal official designated to issue the certificates of occupancy, continued occupancy or leased occupancy. In addition, a copy of said laboratory report shall be furnished to the Health Officer or other designated representative of the Board of Health.
B. 
Certificates of occupancy, continued occupancy and/or leased occupancy shall not be issued unless a satisfactory potability test is submitted.
