It shall be unlawful for any person to cry goods or other commodities for sale, at auction or otherwise, or to cause or create any loud or disturbing noises, vocal or otherwise, including the ringing of bells, the blowing of horns or whistles, the playing of recordings or radios or any other noise-making or sound-producing instrument having a tendency to frighten animals or to annoy persons, in the streets or on the sidewalks or on other private property in the vicinity, whether such noise or sound be produced on private or public property.

No work in connection with the excavation, grading, paving, erection, demolition, alteration, or repair of any premises, street, building or structure may be performed at any time on Sundays other than between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on all other days, except in case of urgent necessity in the interest of public health and safety, and, if the nature of the emergency will admit of the prior procurement of a permit, then only in accordance with a permit first obtained from the Township Manager as to public street work,[1] or from the Construction Official as to other work pursuant to Chapter 96 of the Code of the Township of Mount Holly. Such permit may be granted for a period of not to exceed three days or less while the emergency continues. The provisions of this section shall not apply to interior or exterior repairs or to interim alterations, the work for which is actually performed by a homeowner or occupant personally between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., upon residential premises that are owned by such homeowner or that are occupied by such occupant, provided that the work shall be done without undue noise or disturbance of the peace and quiet of the neighborhood.
