Pursuant to the State Construction Code Act, Public Act 230 of 1972, MCLA § 125.1501 et seq., MSA 5.2949(a), the Michigan Department of Labor Plumbing Code Rules, as published by the Michigan Department of Labor and filed with the Secretary of State on March 17, 1992, is hereby adopted by reference, including all references therein printed, and those documents, together with provisions of this article, shall be known as the "Building Code of the Village of New Haven."[1]

References in the Michigan Department of Labor Plumbing Code Rules to "municipality" and "name of municipality" shall mean the Village of New Haven, Macomb County, Michigan.
Notice is hereby given that a copy of the Michigan Department of Labor Plumbing Code Rules as referred to in § 394-5 of this article is available for public use and inspection at the office of the Clerk of the Village of New Haven.

Any person who shall violate a provision of the code herein adopted or who shall fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof, or who shall erect, construct, alter, or repair a building or structure in violation of an approved plan or direction of the building official or of a permit or certificate issued under the provision of this article shall be subject to the penalties set forth in Chapter 59, Municipal Civil Infractions, of the Code of the Village of New Haven. Each day that a violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense.
