Pursuant to § 20 of the State of New
York Town Law, the position of Justice Court Clerk has previously
been established. The Town Board acknowledges that in the event such
position is established, the appointee must be a resident of the Town
unless otherwise changed by local law.
The Town Board hereby determines and enacts
that the Justice Court Clerk of the Town of Chatham need not be a
resident of the Town.
