Editor's Note: This article was originally
adopted by the Special Town Meeting 10-13-1952 and amended by the
Town Meeting 5-16-1955.
There shall be established a Sperry Park Committee
in the Town of Woodbridge.
The Committee shall be responsible for the management
of the parcel of land known as "Sperry Park."
The Committee shall consist of six resident
electors of the Town, appointed by the Board of Selectmen, with the
First Selectman acting as an ex officio member.
A.
Said Committee shall have the general management and
control of the parcel of land known as "Sperry Park" and any buildings,
apparatus or equipment owned by the Town of Woodbridge and located
in or used in connection with said Sperry Park, and shall provide
for the maintenance of the same, shall annually prepare a budget for
consideration by the Board of Finance and shall make such rules and
regulations as are necessary or desirable governing the use of Sperry
Park by the public.
B.
The Sperry Park Committee and the Board of Selectmen
are authorized and empowered to negotiate and to act in the name of
the Town regarding boundary disputes and any other matters concerning
Sperry Park.
