The Board of Selectmen has determined that it
is in the public interest to ensure the provision of specialized transit
service to the residents of the Town of Woodbridge.
The Greater New Haven Transit District was created
pursuant to Chapter 103a of the Connecticut General Statutes, as amended,
the member cities and towns of which are currently New Haven, West
Haven, East Haven, North Haven and Branford.
The Town of Woodbridge is authorized through
its First Selectman to apply for membership in and to join the Greater
New Haven Transit District, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter
103a of the Connecticut General Statutes, § 7-273b et seq.,
as amended, and the bylaws of the Greater New Haven Transit District.
