No person shall install, maintain or use a mechanical
protection device that is automatically keyed to or activates the
telephone numbers or lines controlled by or listed to the Police Department
or Fire Department, without written approval of the department head
pursuant to regulations adopted by the Select Board. All such devices
shall be removed, or appropriate written approval obtained within
60 days of the effective date of this by-law.
