Editor's Note: The preamble to this resolution provided as follows:
"WHEREAS the Board of Trustees of Dobbs Ferry, by resolution dated July 15, 1969, established a Narcotics Guidance Council in accordance with the provisions of the General Municipal Law (then Article 12-E), and
"WHEREAS the Board of Trustees, by resolution dated April 7, 1975, designated the Youth Services Council to encompass the Narcotics Guidance Council and carry out narcotics guidance functions as authorized by the General Municipal Law, and
"WHEREAS General Municipal Law, § 239-u, as revised, has substituted the term "Drug Abuse Prevention Council" for the term "Narcotics Guidance Council," enlarged the functions of such Council in § 239-u, Subdivision 1, and amended the requirements governing the composition of such Council in § 239-u, Subdivision 2, and
"WHEREAS the Board of Trustees and the Youth Services Council desire to expand the drug abuse prevention program in the village and apply for grants as provided in § 239-u, Subdivision 3."
Five members of the Youth Services Council, one of whom shall be the Chairman of that Council, shall be designated as the Drug Abuse Prevention Council of Dobbs Ferry, to carry out functions as authorized in the General Municipal Law.
