[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Tarrytown
6-20-1983 by L.L. No. 4-1983; amended in its entirety at time of adoption
of Code 5-6-1991 by L.L. No. 5-1991 (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. III).
Subsequent amendments noted where applicable.]
Because of the wide range of territory and responsibilities that must
be covered by the code enforcement officer, the Tarrytown Board of Trustees
has decided to supplement the Building Inspector by empowering certain department
heads and other employees of the village with the authority to enforce the
provisions of Tarrytown's Code.
Notwithstanding any previous local law, ordinance, rule or regulation,
the Village Board of Trustees of the Village of Tarrytown hereby authorizes
by resolution certain individuals under the employ of the village to act as
code enforcement officers for the purpose of enforcing Tarrytown's Code and,
where necessary, to issue appearance tickets to violators of the same.[1]
