A. 
The driver of any vehicle involved in an accident on the public highways or streets of the Town resulting in apparent damage to property shall immediately stop such vehicle at the scene of the accident. If the damage resulting from such accident is to the property of the driver only, with no damage to the person or property of another, the driver need not remain at the scene of the accident, but shall immediately make report of the damage resulting to the Town of Milton Police. If there is damage to person or property of another, the driver shall remain at the scene until the arrival by the Town of Milton Police or the Delaware State Police.

The driver shall give his name, address and the registration number of his vehicle; exhibit his operator's or chauffeur's license, and provide the name of his insurance company, agent and policy number to the owner of the property or the driver or occupants of any vehicle with which his vehicle collides or otherwise damages. Such information shall likewise be provided to the first police officer on the scene, Town or state.
The driver of any vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury or death to any person shall immediately stop such vehicle at the scene of such accident. He shall give his name, address and the registration number of his vehicle and exhibit his operator's or chauffeur's license to the person struck or the driver or occupants of any vehicle collided with and shall render to any person injured in such accident reasonable medical assistance, as may be appropriate under the circumstances, if it is apparent that such treatment is necessary.

The driver of any vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injuries or death to any person or property damage to an extent of $250 or more shall at once forward a report of such accident to the Milton Police Department at Town Hall.
B. 
The fact that such accident reports have been made shall be admissible in evidence solely to prove compliance with this section but no report or any part thereof or statement contained therein shall be admissible in evidence for any other purpose in any trial, civil or criminal, arising out of such accidents.
Cars involved in accidents resulting in death to human beings shall not be moved from the place of the accident until arrival of police, except if needed to convey an injured person to a hospital or doctor.
It shall be the duty of the person in charge of any garage or repair shop located in the Town of Milton to report to the Milton Police Department within 24 hours after receiving any motor vehicle which shows evidence of having been involved in a serious accident or having been struck by a bullet, giving the engine number, registration number and the name and address of the owner of such vehicle, if known.
Any person removing a wrecked or damaged vehicle from a street shall also remove any glass or other injurious substance dropped upon the street from such vehicle.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this article shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof before a court of competent jurisdiction, shall be fined not less than $50 nor more than $200 and shall pay the costs of prosecution.
