Town of North Greenbush, NY Chapter 70 Board of Ambulance Commissioners

§ 70-1 Establishment.

There is hereby established in the Town of North Greenbush, New York, a District Board of Ambulance Commissioners to perform the function hereafter set forth in connection with the North Greenbush Ambulance District No. 1.

§ 70-2 Appointment.

Members of the District Board of Ambulance Commissioners shall be appointed by the Town Board of the Town of North Greenbush.

§ 70-3 Composition.

There shall be five (5) members of the District Board of Ambulance Commissioners, at least one of whom shall be a North Greenbush Town Board member.

§ 70-4 Terms.

A. The terms for individual Board members shall be as follows:

(1) Two one-year terms.

(2) One two-year term.

(3) Two three-year terms.

B. Such terms will expire at the end of the calendar year in which the term expires.

§ 70-5 Vacancies.

The Town Board shall fill vacancies on the Board as they occur. Members appointed to fill vacancies shall serve the balance of the term of the person replaced.

§ 70-6 Functions.

The District Board of Ambulance Commissioners shall perform ministerial functions related to the operation of the North Greenbush Ambulance District No. 1 as delegated by the North Greenbush Town Board. The District Board shall also act in an advisory capacity to the Town Board with regard to functions related to the operation of the district.
