Village of Poquott, NY Chapter 71 Fees

Article I Engineering Fees and Inspection Costs

[Adopted at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. I)]

§ 71-1 Title.

This article shall be entitled "Regulations of the Village of Poquott Regarding Engineering Fees and Other Costs of Inspections and Violations."

§ 71-2 Purpose and intent.

The purpose and intent of this article is to adopt regulations regarding engineering fees and other costs incurred by the Village of Poquott for Building Department inspections and violations and to establish a means of recovering those costs from the owner of the property for which the costs were incurred.

§ 71-3 Assessment and payment of fees.

A. The Village of Poquott may assess the fees of engineers and other professionals and other costs that are incurred by the Village above and beyond the Building Department costs built into permit fee structures, with respect to unanticipated Building Department inspections as per Chapter 183, Zoning, review of plans or property or violations against the owner of the property for which those costs were incurred.

B. In the event that fees or costs that are assessed under this article are not paid to the Village of Poquott within 30 days of the date of their being assessed, then the Village may assess the costs as a lien against the property for which the costs were incurred.
