The Board of Trustees of the Village of Kings Point, being fully cognizant
of the limited confines of the Village and the close proximity therein of
residential and other structures and property inhabited and used by residents
of the Village and being aware that the use of firearms and similar weapons
in the Village is a matter affecting the public health, safety and welfare
which should be subject to control by the Village, intends, by this chapter,
to regulate the discharge of such weapons within the Village of Kings Point.

Except as provided in Subsection B of this section, no person shall fire or discharge or cause to be fired or discharged any firearm, machine gun, rifle or shotgun within the boundaries of the Village of Kings Point.
