[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Kutztown 1-12-1960 as Ord. No. 1-1960. Amendments noted where applicable.]
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
FIREARM
Includes but is not limited to any gun, shotgun, rifle, handgun, pistol, pellet gun, BB gun, crossbow, bow and arrow, slingshot or any other device which impels a projectile through the use of force.

No person shall, except in necessary defense of person or property or in pursuit of official duties, fire or discharge any gun or other firearm within the Borough of Kutztown. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon summary conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50.) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.) and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than thirty (30) days.
