The Borough Council of the Borough of Lake City, Erie County, Pennsylvania, constituting the municipal authority of the said Borough as defined in the Act of Assembly known as the "Municipality Authorities Act of 1945," approved May 2, 1945, Pamphlet Laws 382, as amended, hereby signifies its intention to organize an Authority under the provision of said Act of Assembly as amended.
In pursuance of said intention, the Articles of Incorporation of the said Authority are hereby approved and adopted by the Council on behalf of the said Borough of Lake City, County of Erie and State of Pennsylvania, in the following form.[1]

Editor's Note: The Articles of Incorporation of the Lake City Municipal Sewer Authority are on file in the office of the Borough Secretary. Note that by Ord. No. 159-65, adopted 3-23-1965, the Borough conveyed certain municipal land to the Sewer Authority for a sewer system and a treatment plant, and that by Ord. No. 160-65, adopted 3-23-1965, the Borough entered into a lease agreement with the Sewer Authority. By Ord. No. 418-15, adopted 4-13-2015, the Borough authorized the Lake City Municipal Sewer Authority to amend its Articles of Incorporation to extend the term of its corporate existence to January 1, 2058.
The ordinance signifying the intention to organize the said Sewer Authority and certified from the records of the incorporating municipality, together with proof of advertisement of notice of filing the Articles of Incorporation, shall be submitted with the said Articles of Incorporation to the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The Lake City Municipal Sewer Authority is organized for the following purposes: to acquire, hold, construct, improve, maintain, operate, own and lease, either in the capacity of lessor or lessee, sewer works, sewer supply works, sewer distribution systems and the general Sewer Authority.
The President and Secretary of the Council of the Borough of Lake City, County of Erie and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, shall be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Articles of Incorporation on behalf of said Borough, affix thereto the seal of said Borough, cause a notice of the filing of said Articles of Incorporation to be published once in the Erie County Legal Journal and once in the Cosmopolite-Herald, as required by the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945 as amended, and to file a certified copy of this chapter, together with the proof of advertisement of notice of filing said Articles of Incorporation, with the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, accompanied by the required filing fee as provided by said Municipality Authorities Act of 1945 as amended. Donald Morford, President of the said Council, shall be and hereby is authorized, empowered and directed to acknowledge said Articles of Incorporation and the execution thereof to be the act and deed of the said Borough.
An order shall be drawn on the Treasurer of said Borough of Lake City to pay the required fee for filing said Articles of Incorporation, and the amount necessary to pay said fee is hereby appropriated from the general treasury of said Borough of Lake City, County of Erie and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
