In the event that a Business Improvement District shall be established or extended within this village, the provisions of New York General Municipal Law Article 19-A shall be applicable thereto.

The Business Improvement District of Lynbrook shall be and hereby is established in the village, the Board of Trustees having found that the establishment of the district is in the public interest, that all notice, mailing and hearing requirements have been complied with, that all properties within the district will benefit from the establishment and that all properties benefitted are included within the boundaries of the district. The boundaries of the district are contained in the District Plan adopted by resolution of the Board of Trustees.
The construction improvements and provisions of services within the district shall be pursuant to said District Plan under the name of "The Business Improvement District of Lynbrook." All said services shall be in addition to and not a substitution for those municipal services provided by the Village of Lynbrook on a village-wide basis.
To the extent not otherwise explicitly provided herein, the provisions set forth in Article 19-A of the General Municipal Law shall govern the operation of the Business Improvement District and the district management association in the village.
Any amendments to the Business Improvement District or to the District Plan shall be made in accordance with the provisions set forth in § 980-i of Article 19-A of the General Municipal Law.
This article shall become effective upon compliance with the requirements set forth in § 980-g of Article 19-A of the General Municipal Law and upon compliance with all other requirements of law.
