There is hereby created the position of Qualified
Purchasing Agent of the Borough of Netcong in accordance with the
requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A:11-9 and N.J.A.C. 5:34-5.1.
A.
The Qualified Purchasing Agent shall serve as a purchasing
agent for the Borough in accordance with duties set forth in the Local
Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.
B.
The Qualified Purchasing Agent shall hold a valid
Qualified Purchasing Agent certificate as approved by the State of
New Jersey Department of Community Affairs and shall have the authority,
responsibility, and accountability for the purchasing activities of
the Borough.
The Qualified Purchasing Agent shall be appointed
by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Borough Council.
