Unless another penalty is expressly provided
by the Vehicle Code (75 Pa.C.S.A. § 101 et seq.) or except
as herein specified, every person convicted of a violation of a provision
of this chapter or any supplement thereto shall be liable to a penalty
of $25 and costs of prosecution.
This chapter shall not affect violations of
any other ordinance, code or regulation existing prior to the effective
date hereof, and any such violations shall be governed and shall continue
to be punishable to the full extent of the law under the provisions
of those ordinances, codes or regulations in effect at the time the
violation was committed.
