The Fire Department of the City of Gloversville is hereby authorized to participate in the Fulton County Fire Mutual Aid Plan as now in force and as amended from time to time.
The City of Gloversville hereby certifies to the Fulton County Board of Supervisors through its County Fire Coordinator that only one (1) restriction, hereinafter set forth, exists against outside service by such Fire Department, within the meaning of § 209 of the General Municipal Law, which would affect the power of such Fire Department to participate in such plan.
Participation by the Fire Department of the City of Gloversville in the Fulton County Fire Mutual Aid Plan is restricted and limited as follows: No more than one (1) piece of fire-fighting apparatus, together with its regular equipment and with such men as may be necessary to efficiently operate the same, shall be authorized or permitted to leave the city at one (1) time except with the consent of the Mayor.
The City of Gloversville reserves the right to withdraw from participation in the Fulton County Fire Mutual Aid Plan upon thirty (30) days' notice to the Fulton County Coordinator.
The ordinance entitled "Chapter 9 of the Laws of the City of Gloversville for the year 1940," being an act regulating the use of fire-fighting equipment outside of the city limits of the City of Gloversville and which was approved October 1, 1940, is hereby repealed.

The Common Council of the City of Gloversville does hereby elect to pay, on account of any member of its Fire Department who has duly elected or shall hereafter duly elect to contribute the additional amount required for the purpose of retiring after twenty (20) years of service as provided by § 384-d of the Retirement and Social Security Law or any subsequent amendments thereto, the entire additional cost on account of the fire service rendered by such officer or member of the Fire Department prior to the date of adoption of this Article and, further, agrees to pay the entire additional cost on account of fire service rendered by such officer or member of the Fire Department on and after February 1, 1988.
