Every plumber and sewer/water contractor performing work covered by this Code for a fee or any other form of compensation must provide evidence of adequate insurance coverage for himself and/or his subcontractors and register with the Administrator providing the data required by the Administrator on the plumber's application as hereinafter provided.
Every plumber and sewer/water contractor performing work covered by this Code for a fee or any other form of compensation must execute and deliver to the Administrator an effective street bond in the sum of $10,000, with corporate surety to be approved by the Administrator. Such plumber or sewer/water contractor shall also keep and maintain general liability insurance with minimum limits of liability with respect to bodily injury of $500,000 for each occurrence and $300,000 with respect to property damage for each occurrence and completed operations liability insurance with coverage of not less than $50,000. In addition to the above, such plumber or sewer/water contractor shall carry Pennsylvania workers' compensation insurance as required by law. Certificates of such insurance shall be supplied to the Administrator.
Prior to beginning work in the Township, every plumber and sewer/water contractor performing work covered by this Code for a fee or any other form of compensation must register with the Administrator providing date relative to experience, equipment available, business location and similar matters on the plumber's application as provided by the Administrator. The plumber or sewer/water contractor will also be required to acknowledge awareness of the Township's and Authority's rules and regulations governing construction of water and/or sewer facilities. Any changes in the date supplied on the original plumber's application must be supplied, in writing, to the Administrator.
Every plumber and sewer/water contractor performing work covered by this Code for a fee or any other form of compensation shall pay an annual license fee in an amount to be established from time to time by resolution of the Board of Supervisors. All fees payable under this Code shall be paid to the Administrator.
