The following acts or activities by any person, corporation, partnership or other entity are prohibited within any park or recreational area owned, maintained or operated by the Borough of Crafton:
A. 
The following activities or conduct are prohibited, unless under a program of maintenance by the Council of the Borough of Crafton, as follows:
(1) 
The climbing of trees, fences or buildings or improvements erected within the park premises except recreational facilities which have been installed for that purpose.
(2) 
Cutting, breaking, injuring or defacing any tree, shrub, plant, rock, building, shed, improvement, monument, fence, bench, or other structure whatsoever or any recreational or other apparatus, improvement, or property whatsoever.
(3) 
Cutting, pulling up, or removing of any tree, shrub, bush, plant or flower; or the taking or gathering of any fruit or nut or posted sign; or of marking or defacing, in any manner, any building, monument, fence, bench, table, or other structure, recreational or other apparatus, or other property or improvement in the park.
(4) 
Defacing or destroying or removing any notice, rule, or regulation posted in the park.
(5) 
Cutting and/or removing any tree, wood therefrom, turf, grass, soil, rock, sand, gravel or other materials in, or placed within, a Borough park or recreational area.
B. 
Starting, making and/or maintaining a fire for any purpose whatsoever, including cooking or grilling, from any materials whatsoever, except in areas or at places clearly marked, provided, or designated for cooking or grilling.
C. 
Engaging in any conduct or conducting oneself in a manner which is threatening to others, boisterous, or noisy; causing excitement, drawing attention to or fear or concern to other by activities or sound; or any activity or display that under contemporary standards would be considered indecent or immoral, including the failure to be fully and properly attired.
D. 
Using any language which would be considered abusive, threatening to others, profane and, under contemporary standards, is deemed immoral, indecent, or suggestive of immoral or indecent acts or activities.
E. 
The selling or offering for sale or the taking of any orders for sale of any merchandise, articles, goods or materials whatsoever except through the duly authorized concession stands maintained by the Borough or its contractual franchise.
F. 
Littering of the park or recreational premises with any material.
G. 
Parking of motor vehicles, except in designated areas.
H. 
Repairing or washing of motor vehicles in any parking area.
The following shall be prohibited in all parks and recreational areas of the Borough of Crafton, unless the Council of the Borough of Crafton provides otherwise:
A. 
All pets and animals, including but not limited to dogs, cats, homing pigeons or other domesticated animals; provided, however, that exception may be made by specific action of Borough Council during special events.
B. 
Motor vehicles, including motorcycles, except in designated areas and to the extent necessary for access for parking; provided, further, that such limited permitted use by motor vehicles shall not exceed 15 miles per hour.
C. 
Bicycles shall be prohibited except where specifically marked for usage.
D. 
Alcoholic beverages or prohibited drugs.
E. 
Weapons. For purposes of this section, "weapons" is defined as anything readily capable of lethal use or inflicting bodily injury and unlawfully possessed or possessed under circumstances not manifestly appropriate for lawful uses which it may have. The term "weapon" may include, but is not limited to, any firearm, rifle, shotgun, pistol, revolver, knife, razor, dagger, cutting instrument or tool, air rifle, air pistol, archery items, nanchaku, ninja device, blackjack, metal knuckles, club, chain, or any other instrument or implement capable of lethal use or inflicting bodily injury.

F. 
Explosives, fireworks, or flares, except as authorized by Council.
G. 
Golf balls or golf clubs and the practicing of the sport of golf, javelins, shot putting, pole vaulting, and the use of bows and arrows shall be prohibited except as authorized by Council for designated occasions or special programs which are monitored.
H. 
Glass containers whether for drinking purposes or as a container, or a glass product of any nature or kind or any use thereof.
The use of recreational facilities in the parks of the Borough shall be restricted to its use as designated and approved by the Borough. No person shall be permitted to use areas designated for baseball, softball, football and soccer for other purposes; tennis courts for other purposes; bocce court for other purposes; basketball court for other purposes; or areas designated for playground usage for other usage. Further, areas used for picnics and furnished with benches shall not be subject to use for other purposes, including ball playing, frisbee throwing and other uses not similar to rest and repose.
A permit and license fee, which fee shall be established and revised periodically by the Council of the Borough of Crafton through a duly enacted resolution, is required for the private use of a picnic shelter in a Borough-owned park or recreational area.
A. 
Permits for the exclusive use of any picnic shelter maintained by the Borough of Crafton are available for a fee in an amount to be set by resolution of Council for each date reserved. The application and issuance shall be in accordance with the rules and regulations governing the reservation of picnic shelters hereafter adopted by resolution of the Council of the Borough of Crafton. Permits will be granted only to Crafton Borough residents or resident organizations.
B. 
The Council of the Borough of Crafton is authorized to adopt rules and regulations governing the reservation of existing and future picnic shelters consistent with this article.
The hours of usage by all persons of all parks and recreational areas of the Borough of Crafton shall be from sunrise to sunset. The public parks of the Borough of Crafton shall be closed to all persons and for all uses between sunset and sunrise; provided, however, that upon action and approval by the Council of the Borough of Crafton, a Borough-owned or -maintained park or recreational area, or a portion thereof, may be opened for a period of time before sunrise or after sunset for activities such as sled riding or other Borough-sponsored or -approved programs such as movies or concerts.

A. 
Any person, firm or corporation who violates a provision of this article, or who fails to comply therewith, or with any of the requirements thereof, shall be, upon conviction thereof, sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $600 for each violation, plus costs, and, in default of payment of said fine and costs, to imprisonment to the extent permitted by law for the punishment of summary offenses.
B. 
A separate offense shall arise for each day or portion thereof in which a violation is found to exist or for each section of this article found to have been violated. All fines and penalties for the violation of this article shall be paid to the Borough Treasurer.
C. 
The Borough may also commence appropriate actions in equity, at law or other to prevent, restrain, correct, enjoin, or abate violations of this article.
