The rate of compensation for the elected Tax Collector for all taxes collected pursuant to the Local Tax Collection Law, Act of May 25, 1945, P.L. 1050, as amended, 72 P.S. § 5511.1 et seq., for the years 2006 through 2009, and thereafter unless otherwise modified by further ordinance, shall be as follows:
A. 
Compensation for the years commencing January 1, 2006, and ending December 31, 2009, shall be at the rate of $0 per year.
B. 
Compensation for the years commencing January 1, 2010, and thereafter shall be at $0 per year.
C. 
There shall be no additional compensation for the collection of delinquent taxes.
D. 
The administrative services provided by the Township of Derry Tax Collection Association, the expense of which is borne by the Township of Derry for personnel, billing, mailing and maintaining the tax records and complying with the remaining provisions of the Code of Ordinances as applicable to the elected Tax Collector, shall be in lieu of any actual compensation paid by the Township of Derry.
E. 
This section shall take effect and be enforced as of March 1, 2005.

The elected Tax Collector shall maintain separate records for each taxable year and the rate of compensation provided herein will apply to the taxes collected for the taxable year in which they were imposed, although payment may be received by the Tax Collector in a subsequent year.

The Township shall pay only those expenses required to be paid by the Local Tax Collection Law, as now or as hereafter amended, but may share the cost of said expenses with other taxing districts using the same billing and mailing, as may be negotiated by the various taxing districts.
The provisions of the Local Tax Collection Law, as now written or as hereafter amended, are incorporated herein and made a part hereof by reference thereto.

The Tax Collector shall pay over daily to the Treasurer of the Township of Derry all monies collected as taxes. The Treasurer may, with the approval of the Board of Supervisors, establish an administrative procedure for the transfer of these monies to the Treasurer.
