A.
A Site Selection Committee is hereby created for the
purpose of reviewing and recommending to the Town Board of the Town of Haverstraw
suitable sites for the location of community residential facilities for the
developmentally disabled.
B.
The Committee shall be known as the "Site Selection Committee."
A.
The Committee shall consist of five members to be appointed
by the Town Board of the Town of Haverstraw for a term commencing on the date
of appointment and expiring on December 31, 1992 (the year of creation).
B.
Thereafter, three members shall be chosen for two-year
terms and two members shall be chosen for three-year terms.
C.
The Chairperson shall be appointed by the Town Board
of the Town of Haverstraw.
The duties of the Committee shall be to review sites selected by or
in cooperation with state, county or private not-for-profit organizations
for the location of community residential facilities for the developmentally
disabled within the unincorporated Town of Haverstraw and to report to the
Town Board upon its recommendations for such sites.
The Committee shall serve without compensation.
This chapter shall become effective June 5, 1992.
