Pursuant to the authority granted by Chapter
299 of the 1976 Session Laws of the State of New York, the Board of
Trustees of the Village of Irvington, New York, shall provide for
monthly additional supplemental pension payments to widows of deceased
retired members of the Police Department of the Village of Irvington,
who heretofore retired pursuant to the provisions of § 191
et seq. of the Village Law, Chapter 64, Laws of 1969, as amended,
now § 5711 et seq. of the Unconsolidated Laws of the State
of New York, in an amount which, taken together with all pension benefits,
results in a total pension not in excess of $2,400 per annum.
The provisions of this article shall be effective
for a period of three years and may be extended or renewed for specified
periods not to exceed three years each and may be affected by an amendment
to this article, as amended, or otherwise as the Board of Trustees
of the Village of Irvington shall determine.
