Certain moneys known as the "Amelia G. Dyer Fund" are hereby appropriated as a permanent fund, the income from said fund to be spent for the perpetual care, improvement, and beautifying of the Canton Green at Canton, Connecticut.

The Finance Officer/Treasurer of the Town is authorized and empowered to pay the income of the Amelia G. Dyer Fund to a committee of three, consisting of the First Selectman and two residents of Canton to be appointed annually by the First Selectman, said committee to supervise the care, improvement, and beautifying of the Canton Green and to expend said income for that purpose.

At the discretion of the duly appointed committee, the accumulated income of the Amelia G. Dyer Fund may be used, in addition to the current income, for the purposes set forth in § 46-2, but an amount of at least $2,000 shall always remain on deposit as the principal of said fund.
