The purpose of this article is to clarify the responsibility for the appointment and removal of Assistant Town Clerks.
The Chief Administrative Officer shall appoint and may remove all Assistant Town Clerks pursuant to his/her duties under § 10.01 of the Charter and shall be the only Town official that appoints Assistant Town Clerks pursuant to § 7-19 of the General Statutes.
