A Hazlet Township Library Commission is hereby
created to advise the Township Committee on giving direction to and
planning for the orderly growth of the Hazlet Township Memorial Library
and other library facilities in the Township supported under the authority
of N.J.S.A. 40:54-35.

A. The Commission shall consist of nine members.
B. One member shall be a member of the Township Committee,
and the remaining eight members shall be citizens and residents.
C. Members shall be appointed by the Mayor.
D. The appointments shall be for terms as follows:
(1) Two appointees for one year.
(2) Two appointees for two years.
(3) Two appointees for three years.
(4) The Township Committee member shall serve during his
or her term as a Township Committeeman or Committeewoman.
E. The term
for the two new members, added by Ord. No. 1656-20, shall end on December
31, 2022.
