Upon the adoption of this chapter, the Town Supervisor shall
cause a copy thereof to be distributed to every Town officer and employee
of this Town. The Town Supervisor shall further cause a copy of this
chapter to be kept posted conspicuously in each public building under
the jurisdiction of the Town.
Within two weeks of receipt of this chapter, every officer and
employee shall sign a statement in the form provided by the Town attesting
to his receipt of this chapter. Each elected or appointed individual
coming under the Town's employ subsequent to the adoption of
this chapter shall receive a copy of the same and sign statement attesting
thereto at the time they join the Town. All statements shall become
part of each individual's employment record. Failure to sign
as herein described shall constitute a violation of this chapter.
The Town Board may appropriate moneys from the general Town
funds for the maintenance of and for personnel services to the Board
of Ethics established hereunder, but such Board of Ethics may not
commit the expenditure of Town moneys except within the appropriations
provided herein.
