Effective date. 

An agreement, entitled "Joint Municipal Agreement for Law Enforcement Services," dated December 17, 1992, between the Borough of New Brighton and the Township of Daugherty for the performance of law enforcement services by said Borough to said Township, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby adopted and approved by the Township of Daugherty.

As required by the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act,

the following matters are specifically found and determined:

A. 

The conditions of the agreement are as set forth in the Joint Municipal Agreement, dated December 17, 1992, and approved this date, which is adopted by reference, with the same effect as if it had been set out verbatim in this section, a copy of which shall be filed with the minutes of the meeting at which this article was adopted;

B. 

The duration of the initial term of the agreement is two years, after which Daugherty Township's participation is as set forth in the Joint Municipal Agreement, dated December 17, 1992, and approved this date;

C. 

The purpose and objectives of the agreement, including the powers and scope of authority delegated in the agreement, are as set forth in the Joint Municipal Agreement, dated December 17, 1992, and approved this date;

D. 

The manner and extent of financing is set forth in Part 8 of the Joint Municipal Agreement, dated December 17, 1992, and approved this date;

E. 

The Daugherty Township Police Department shall be disbanded and abolished, effective December 31, 1992, at 12:00 midnight; and

F. 

Personal property shall be transferred and disposed of pursuant to the terms of the Joint Municipal Agreement, dated December 17, 1992, and approved this date.

The effective date of this article shall be January 1, 1993.
