As used in this article, the following words shall have the meanings indicated:
PERSON
Any natural person, partnership, association, firm or corporation.
It shall be unlawful for any person to set or place any goods, wares or merchandise, or stands, tables or racks for the display thereof, or sell the same or conduct any business or render any commercial service within the limits of any public street or alley of the Borough of Lewisburg, or on the sidewalks of any such street or alley, except as follows:
A. 
For the purpose of loading or unloading, removing or storing away of such goods, wares and merchandise for such limited time as may be necessary.
B. 
For the purposes of seasonal displays, provided Borough Council receives adequate and timely notice of such display and approves of the same at a regular or special meeting and such display does not project beyond four feet from the building line.
C. 
For special event days, including but not limited to sidewalk sales by merchants, historical or holiday celebrations, and the display of art works, crafts and materials of educational, cultural or historical value, provided Borough Council receives adequate and timely notice of such event and approves of the same at a regular or special meeting.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $300, and/or to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 90 days. Every day that a violation of this article continues shall constitute a separate offense.
