There shall be established four official agencies within the Township known as the “Marlton Fire Company No. 1,” “Kettle Run Fire Company,” “Evesham Fire Company” and “Evesham Emergency Medical Services.” Said organizations shall consist of officers as prescribed by the Fire Chief and as many active members as the Fire District shall prescribe. The four aforementioned organizations shall operate within the Evesham Fire District No. 1 as one department under the name of “Evesham Fire-Rescue.” The Evesham Emergency Medical Services is the name of the Emergency Medical Services organization that provides emergency medical care for the Township of Evesham. All four official agencies, including the Evesham Emergency Medical Services, shall operate as a division of Evesham Fire-Rescue and will operate under the specific operational direction of the Fire Chief.
No person may become an active member of said organizations unless he has reached his 18th birthday and completed other requirements as may be in place at the time of his application as required by the Board of Fire Commissioners or the State of New Jersey.
All persons seeking active membership within one of the organizations of the Fire District shall have his name presented to the Board of Fire Commissioners for confirmation, and if approved, his name shall be placed on a roll of active members, kept by the District Clerk of the Fire District. Election of all volunteer officers shall also be subject to the approval of the Fire Chief.
