§ 72-1 Schedule of fees.

The following schedule of fees is hereby established with respect to licenses, permits and activities required or regulated under the provisions of various chapters of the Code of the Township of Evesham. Applications for and the issuance of such licenses and permits shall be subject to the provisions of the specific chapter of this Code which is indicated for each type of license or permit. The business, activity or operation for which the license or permit is required shall be subject to all regulations set forth in the chapter to which reference is made.

State of New Jersey permit surcharge fees.
(1)
In order to provide for training, certification and technical support programs required under N.J.A.C. 5:23-4.19, a surcharge shall be collected as follows:

D.
Exemptions.
(1)
No federal, state, county or local government, or any agency or instrumentality thereof, shall be required to pay any construction permit fee, surcharge or training fee for the erection or alteration of any publicly owned building or structure or part thereof. A plan review fee, when applicable, shall be charged for Board of Education projects.
(2)
No nonprofit corporation shall be required to pay any construction permit fee, surcharge or training fee for rehabilitating housing units for occupancy by low- and moderate-income households as defined in N.J.S.A. 52:27D-126d.
(3)
No person shall be required to pay any construction permit, surcharge or training fee for construction to solely promote accessibility by disabled persons as defined in N.J.S.A. 52:27D-126e to an existing private or public structure or facilities therein.

Where the discovery must be obtained from an entity other than the Township of Evesham, e.g., another police department, the actual costs paid to the other entity shall be paid by the requestor.
(5)
If a request for a record is in a medium not routinely used by the Township; not routinely developed or maintained by the Township; or requiring a substantial amount of manipulation or programming of information technology, the Township may charge, in addition to the actual cost of duplication, a special charge that shall be reasonable and shall be based on the cost for any extensive use of information technology, or for the labor cost of personnel providing the service, that is actually incurred by the Township or attributable to the Township for the programming, clerical and supervisory assistance required, or both.

An officiating fee shall be paid for the performance of a marriage ceremony or civil union ceremony. This fee will be payable only If the marriage ceremony or the civil union ceremony is conducted by the Mayor or an official who is lawfully authorized to conduct a marriage ceremony or civil union ceremony. In place of the Mayor according to law (e.g., The Deputy Mayor or Acting Mayor acting In the Mayor's absence).

Any officiating fees collected under this provision shall be placed In a dedicated trust for recreation programs, which will be established to accept donations and dedicated marriage or civil union fees. Fees for officiating as authorized above shall be collected only after a resolution establishing the dedicated fund is authorized by resolution and is approved by The Director of the Division of Local Government Services of the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.
