The parking area situated on the northerly side
of the Long Island Rail Road track east of Frost Mill Road in the
Village, as indicated on the map filed in the Village Clerk's office,
is hereby established and designated as a Village Parking Field for
use by persons transacting business with the Village of Mill Neck
or the office of the Old Brookville Police and customers and employees
of the United States Post Office at Mill Neck.
A.
Except as hereinafter provided it shall be unlawful
to:
(1)
Park any vehicle in the areas designated for post
office, Village Clerk's office and Old Brookville Police office parking,
except when such offices are open for business and when the business
or employment of the person so parking at such offices so requires.
(2)
Park in any area which is not designated for post
office, Village Clerk's office and Old Brookville Police office parking.
B.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, any person attending
a meeting held in the Village Hall or attending a session of the Mill
Neck Justice Court may park in any available parking space in the
Parking Field during the time when such person is in attendance at
such meeting or such Court session.
No person driving or operating a motor vehicle
or other vehicle upon or within the Village Parking Field shall drive
or operate the same at a rate of speed in excess of 10 miles per hour.
The Village shall not be liable for any injury,
damage or loss to vehicles or the contents thereof using the Village
Parking Field.
Any person violating any of the provisions of
this article may, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not exceeding
$50.
