Chapter 4, §§ 4-1 through 4-5 of the Code of the City of Linwood, entitled "Board of Assessors," which was adopted by the Common Council of the City of Linwood on May 27, 1970, shall be and is hereby repealed, and the Board of Assessors as established thereunder is hereby dissolved effective 12:00 midnight May 31, 1980.
In accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:9-146, the position of Municipal Tax Assessor shall be and is hereby established, said position to become effective and commence as of June 1, 1980.
The term of the Municipal Tax Assessor shall be in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:9-148, in that the Municipal Tax Assessor shall hold office for a term of four years from the first day of July next following his appointment.
The appointment of the individual to hold the position of Municipal Tax Assessor shall be made by resolution by the Common Council of the City of Linwood for the term as specified herein.
