Every person who shall maliciously, wantonly or carelessly, break, throw down, remove, extinguish, disturb or otherwise injure any lamp or lantern erected for the purpose of giving warning of any obstruction, or of lighting any street, highway, bridge or public place, or ground set apart for public purposes, in this Town, whether the same shall have been erected by the Town, or any other corporation, or by any individual, shall, upon conviction, be punished in accordance with § 171-5 hereof.
No person shall maliciously, wantonly or carelessly, break down, injure, remove, mar or destroy any monument or other memorial erected for the purpose of designating the boundaries of any street or highway in this Town, nor any signboard erected upon any street or highway, nor deface or alter the inscription on any such board, and every person violating any of the provisions of this section shall upon conviction be punished in accordance with § 171-5 hereof.
If any person shall maliciously, wantonly or carelessly, daub with paint, cut, break, or otherwise injure by scratching, or marking, or marking or writing with paint, blacking, chalk, or in any other way or by any other means, deface any post, lamppost, signboard or sign, tree or tree box, situated in or upon any street, highway, bridge, public place or ground set apart for public purposes, in this Town, or any ornament of or appurtenant to the same, or shall maliciously, wantonly, or carelessly tear down, deface or destroy any notice of any public meeting, auction or other sale, or any other public notice, such person shall, upon conviction, be punished in accordance with § 171-5 hereof.
Any person who shall intentionally mutilate or disfigure any fence or railing not his own, or who shall maliciously or wantonly write or draw upon any fence or railing, obscene words, pictures or figures, shall, upon conviction, be punished in accordance with § 171-5 hereof.
Any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be punished in accordance with Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II, General Penalty, of the Code of the Town of Lincoln.
