[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Scottsville 11-2-1970 as Ch. 9 of the 1970 Code of Ordinances. Amendments noted where applicable.]
GENERAL REFERENCES
Peace and good order — See Ch. 117.
Streets and sidewalks — See Ch. 141.
All hawking, vending, peddling, soliciting of orders or the crying of goods, wares, merchandise or other commodities in the streets or public places of the village or the distributing or peddling of any and all bills, pamphlets, tracts or other like matter or material in the public streets or public places of the village is hereby prohibited, except upon license to be granted as provided in this chapter.
Licenses required by § 120-1 may be issued annually by the Village Board of Trustees or the Village Clerk upon application and payment of uniform fees established from time to time by resolution of the Village Board of Trustees.
Any person, firm or corporation found guilty of a violation of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article III, General Penalty.
