A. 
The fee per connection to the public water supply system shall be as follows:

B. 
The Water Department will make a one-inch tap and supply a corporation valve, one-inch PE IPS tubing, curb stop and service box at the property line at no additional cost.
For all connections one inch and larger:
A. 
The contractor must obtain a street opening permit from the Highway Department. A copy is to be furnished to the Water Department.
B. 
The contractor will be responsible for the excavation to the water main and provide proper safety measures (i.e., for excavations of five inches and greater shoring is required).
C. 
The contractor will provide all materials, equipment and personnel to perform taps greater than one inch. This will include the corporation valve, water service line, curb stop and service box. All materials must meet Water Department specifications.
D. 
The contractor must backfill and restore the road and/or sidewalk area according to the requirements of the Highway Department's street opening permit.
E. 
The contractor must notify the Water Department at lease 48 hours before commencement of any work. The Water Department will mark the location of the water main before excavation can begin.
F. 
The water service line from the main to its termination at the water meter inlet valve must be inspected by the Water Department before the contractor may backfill.
G. 
The Water Department will install the water meter, including inlet and outlet valves. The owner of the property is responsible for the cost of the meter, inlet and outlet valves and any other parts and/or labor costs necessary for installation of the water meter.
H. 
The contractor must notify the Police Department and arrange for any required police details.
