Editor's Note: This ordinance also repealed former Ch. 290, Tattooing and Body Piercing, adopted 10-17-2006 by Ord. No. 376, as amended. (See § 290-1.)
The current Isanti City Code Chapter 290, Tattooing and Body Piercing, adopted by City Ordinance No. 376, October 17, 2006, is hereby repealed and is replaced with the following sections for the regulating of tattooing, body piercing and body art.
The provisions of Minn. Stat. Ch. 146B, as they may be amended from time to time, with reference to the definition of terms, conditions of operation, licensing, provision of operations and all other matters pertaining to tattooing, body piercing and body art regarding state regulation are hereby adopted by reference and are made a part of this chapter as if set out in full. It is the intention of the City Council that all future amendments of Minn. Stat. Ch. 146B are hereby adopted by reference or referenced as if they had been in existence at the time this chapter was adopted.
Pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 146B.02, Subd. 3(c), and § 146B.09, all such operations shall be in compliance with City Code Chapter 111, Building Construction, City Code Chapter 216, Nuisances, and City Ordinance No. 445, Zoning Ordinance.

A violation of any of the provisions of this chapter will be considered a misdemeanor under Minnesota law and subject to a penalty as provided in Chapter 1, Article I, of the City Code.
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this chapter is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of the chapter which are intended to remain in full force and effect.
This chapter shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
