All County resolutions or ordinances heretofore
adopted and in force and effect on the effective date of this code
shall remain in full force and effect to the extent that they are
not inconsistent with the Charter or this code. All resolutions or
ordinances and parts of resolutions or parts of ordinances heretofore
enacted which are inconsistent with any provision of the Charter or
this code are, to the extent of such inconsistency, hereby repealed.
If any article, section or part of this code
shall be declared to be unconstitutional, invalid or inoperative in
whole or in part, by a court of competent jurisdiction, such article,
section or parts shall to the extent that it is not unconstitutional,
invalid or inoperative, remain in full force and effect, and no such
determination shall be deemed to invalidate the remaining articles,
section or parts of this code.
This Code shall take effect May 1, 1979.
