Workers' Compensation Fund — See Ch. 150.
An Insurance Fund is hereby established pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:10-6 which shall be responsible for insuring and covering any and all risks permissible pursuant to said statute.
Those Commissioners appointed by the County Executive shall hold office for a term of two years from the date of this chapter or the remainder of their terms of office as officials of the County, whichever is less, or as is permitted pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:10-8.
In the event that no Commissioner of the Insurance Fund is a member of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Essex, the President of the Board of County Commissioners shall appoint one liaison to the Insurance Fund Commission from among the members of the Board of County Commissioners of Essex County. In the event that one or more Commissioners is a member of the Board of County Commissioners of Essex County, no such liaison shall be appointed.
The Insurance Fund Commission shall have all of the authority established pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:10-10 and shall be empowered to operate the Workers' Compensation Fund.
The Insurance Fund Commission shall prepare and adopt the following documents:
A. 
The Commission's bylaws.
B. 
The Commission's plan of risk management.
C. 
The Commission's cash management plan.
D. 
The Commission's budget.
The County Executive shall appoint a person to serve as Secretary to the Insurance Fund Commission pursuant to and in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:10-8.
The Commission shall have all of the powers and authority as is more particularly provided for in N.J.S.A. 40A:10-1 et seq.
Ordinance No. O-1988-00001 is superseded by this chapter, and the securing of risks from County construction equipment shall be provided by the Insurance Fund established hereby.

Uninsured motorist coverage in amounts not exceeding the mandatory minimum limits established by statute effective as of the adoption of this section.
