[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of LeRoy 4-24-1978 by L.L. No. 3-1978. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The purpose of this section shall be to promote the health, safety, general welfare and general comfort, peace and repose of the inhabitants of the Village of LeRoy.
A. 
The use of a gasoline-powered motor of more than 71/2 horsepower on the water of the Oatka Creek within the village limits is hereby prohibited.
B. 
The use of any gasoline-powered motor of 71/2 horsepower or smaller shall be restricted to between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
The Board of Trustees may, following a public hearing, issue a temporary permit for the use of motors larger than specified in § 71-2A. Requests for such temporary permits shall be made to the Village Clerk on forms provided by the Village Clerk. In approving such temporary permit, the Board of Trustees shall ensure that the intent of § 71-1 is upheld.
Any person or persons violating the terms of this chapter shall be subject to a fine of not to exceed $50 for each offense.
