[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of LeRoy 8-24-1965 as Article XXIII of Chapter III of the Village Ordinances. Amendments noted where applicable.]

Every owner or occupant of any lot or lots within the Village of LeRoy shall keep the grass and weeds on said property cut and mowed to a height not exceeding six inches.
In the event of a violation of this chapter, the Board of Trustees or other designated officer shall give notice to the owner or occupant or agent of the owner, by registered mail, of such violation, requesting that he comply with this chapter within 48 hours. In the event of a violation of such compliance, the Board of Trustees or other designated officer will have the right to have the weeds and grass cut and mowed and to have any unhealthful growth or other noxious matters removed, and the owner shall be responsible for any expense incurred in addition to the fine as set forth in the succeeding section.
Any owner, occupant or agent of the owner violating the terms of this chapter shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $100.
