Except when necessary in obedience to traffic
regulations or when allowed or permitted by traffic signs or signals,
the operator of a motor vehicle shall not stop, stand or park such
vehicle in any roadway, except headed in the direction of traffic
and with the curb wheels of the vehicle within six inches of the edge
of the roadway.
No motor vehicle shall be parked in any parking
lot provided by the Village of LeRoy for public parking unless said
motor vehicle is driven into said parking lot under its own power
and is capable of being driven therefrom in like manner; nor shall
any motor vehicle be so parked unless it is properly licensed and
with license plates attached for the current year, and unless it complies
in all other respects with the laws relating to the operation and
equipment of motor vehicles.
When official signs or markings on the pavement
are erected or established in any parking lot provided by the Village
of LeRoy for public parking, no motor vehicle shall be parked except
as directed by the appropriate signs or in compliance with the appropriate
markings.
