As used in this article, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
Village and Town of LeRoy.
The stopping, standing or parking of a motor vehicle and
or trailer, construction equipment and tractors.
The following lots:

A.
It shall be unlawful for the operator of a motor vehicle
to park, and for the owner of a motor vehicle to permit it to be parked,
in the parking lot except in compliance with the parking restrictions
set forth in this article.
B.
Designation of parking spaces. The Superintendent
of Public Works is hereby directed and authorized to mark off individual
parking spaces in the parking zones designated and described in the
preceding section of this article and such other zones as may hereafter
be established, such parking spaces to be designated by lines painted
or durably marked on the curbing or surface of the parking lot. At
each space so marked off, it shall be unlawful to park any vehicle
in such a way that said vehicle shall not be entirely within the limits
of the space so designated.
C.
The Chief of Police shall have the authority, with full power of
revocation at any time, to determine the location of parking zones
and shall erect or maintain or cause to be erected or maintained appropriate
signs indicating the same.

A.
No vehicle with a weight capacity in excess of 3/4
ton or unladen weight in excess of 6,000 pounds and no vehicle or
equipment used for commercial purposes or construction business shall
be allowed to park in municipal parking lots in the Village of LeRoy,
except for the purpose of conducting business in the building or on
the building or the parking lot. Furthermore, it shall be unlawful
for motor vehicles to use the parking lot as through traffic between
Routes 5 and 19.

B.
The following parking shall be permitted on the west
side of the parking lot:
(1)
From the northwest corner of the parking lot for a
distance of 57 feet six inches south along the west line: one-hour
parking between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m; four-hour parking between
5:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
(2)
From a point 57 feet six inches south of the northwest
corner of the parking lot for a distance of 28 feet six inches south
along the west line, police vehicles only.
(3)
From a point 86 feet from the northwest corner of
the parking lot for a distance of 104 feet south along the west line:
parking permitted 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and four-hour parking between
5:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
(4)
From a point 190 feet south of the northwest corner
of the parking lot running south for a distance of 67 feet to the
southwest corner of the lot: twenty-three-hour parking permitted.
C.
The following parking shall be permitted on the east
side of the parking lot:
(1)
From the northeast corner of the parking lot for a
distance of 67 feet south along the east line: one-hour parking between
8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; four-hour parking between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00
a.m.
(2)
From a point 67 feet south of the northeast corner
of the parking lot for a distance of 36 feet south along the east
line: no parking any time.
(3)
From a point 103 feet south of the northeast corner
of the parking lot southerly to the southeast corner of the lot, for
a distance of 19 feet three inches south along the east line: handicapped
parking only.
(4)
From a point 165 feet three inches south of the northeast
corner of the parking lot, southerly; then easterly for 123 feet,
right angle parking only, including parking area on property at 6
Clay Street which is joined by permanent easement with Village and
town.
(5)
From a point 57 1/2 feet south of the southeast
corner of the property at 6 Clay Street and running in a westerly
direction for 104 feet, right angle parking only, including parking
area on property at 10-12 Clay Street which is joined by permanent
easement with Village and town: two-hour parking 8:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m.; four-hour parking 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
D.
The following parking shall be permitted in the Bacon
Street Parking Lot:

(1)
East side: from the southerly curbline of the Bacon
Street Parking Lot, only parking for vehicles bearing valid handicapped
vehicle license plates, tags or stickers shall be permitted for the
first 48 feet of parking spaces; for the next 11 feet extending northerly,
on Mondays only, only Prisoner Transport parking shall be permitted;
for the next 81 feet extending northerly, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
daily, parking for any vehicle in any one parking space shall be limited
to two-hour duration.
(2)
West side: from the southerly curbline of the Bacon
Street Parking Lot, only parking for vehicles bearing valid handicapped
vehicle license places, tags or slickers shall be permitted for the
first 48 feet of parking spaces; for the next 98 feet extending northerly,
from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, parking for any vehicle in any
one parking space shall be limited to two-hour duration.
This article shall be enforced by the Village
of LeRoy Police Department.
A.
Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with
any provisions of this article shall be deemed guilty of an offense
and shall be punished by a fine of not less than $5 and not more than
$50.
B.
Whenever any vehicle shall be parked in violation
of any of the provisions of this article, a police officer may cause
such vehicle to be removed, and such removal and subsequent storage
shall be at the risk and expense of the owner of such vehicle. In
addition thereto, such violator will be subject to the penalty as
set forth in the preceding subsection.
